We recognize everyone as an equal HERO with equal potential, but we know that not everyone has a situation that allows them equal opportunity. To offer some assistance, we offer TWO scholarships for each training season to offset the cost of participating with us at the ATHLETE level (members who wish to train, walk or run, for a 10K, Half Marathon or Full Marathon). One scholarship offers coverage of 100% of our regular rates for one season. The other scholarship offers coverage of 50% of our regular rates for one season. All members are expected to participate fully in the life of the team and commit to raising awareness and funds for their local shelter for child abuse, neglect and exploitation. Scholarships are awarded with careful discernment of all applications each season based on their story and need.
